Mama Thrive is a tool that empowers new mothers with personalized support, self-care tools, and community connections to navigate early motherhood confidently.

Introduction

This project, undertaken by a team of four individuals, aimed to explore online resources that could enhance organization and connectivity for new mothers. Over a span of four months, our activities included:

  • Conducting user interviews and analyzing these interviews

  • Performing a competitive analysis

  • Creating user personas, scenarios, and storyboards

  • Developing low-fidelity prototypes and conducting usability tests

  • Iterating on the low-fidelity prototype to produce a high-fidelity version.

Why is Mama Thrive the perfect solution?

  1. Ease of task organization

The tasks tab on the app lets users view all their current tasks based on priority and category. The user can add new tasks based on date and can add descriptions and create custom labels.

  1. Emphasis on Self-Care

The self care tab includes a range of features for the user. It suggests various self care practices and the user can click on any the options to expand the view. For example, they can click on journal to add new journal entries and view older journal entries. They can also click on Meditate to turn on a meditation timer.

  1. Ability to engage with the community

The community tab of the app shows the users the list of relevant events and discussion boards. The users can browse through events and register for events without exiting the app. They can also view all the discussion boards and can make new ones. They can add comments to existing boards and like messages.
